Red Ribbon Week Starts Monday, October 22nd. Monday – “Make a pledge Monday!” – At the start of this nationally recognized Red Ribbon Week – Students will sign class pledge to show that they pledge to live a healthy life! Students will receive red ribbon stickers and pencils. Tuesday – “Color my life drug free” – Students will receive a Red Ribbon Week coloring sheet. Wednesday – “Wear Red Wednesday!” Wear red to support a healthy life! Thursday – “Healthy Snack Day” – Students will bring a healthy item to eat during snack. Friday – “Team up against drugs!”- Wear your favorite team gear or Addison spirit wear.

Book Fair is also next week October 15-19 in the Learning Commons. They are open daily from 7:15-4:00. Wednesday they will be open until 5:00, and on Friday they will close at noon.

Next week is a really big week at Addison. School will dismiss early each day October 15-19, and conferences have been scheduled individually. I am looking forward to meeting with every family to discuss your student's success. Our lunch time next week is 10:09 am, and we will still visit Science Lab at 9:30 on Monday.

Don't Forget Foundation Catalog Sales continues until October 12th. We all need some beautiful wrapping paper and great treats to eat. Please continue to support the Foundation.

Happy October! I hope everyone enjoyed Fall Break. We will visit the Science Lab this Monday and continue our study of matter. We will also be learning about 3D shapes for the next two weeks. Conference letters will come home on Monday, October 1st and October 4th is school picture day.

Wednesday, September 19th Field Trip ! Please have your student wear a Leader in Me (purple arms) shirt or an Addison shirt if possible on Wednesday. If you are sending lunch from home please send a disposable bag or sack with your child's name marked. All containers in the lunch should be disposable. If you want your child to wear sunscreen or bug spray please apply at home. Thank for all your help, we will have a wonderful time.
