February 27, 2020 Dear Addison Elementary Parents and Guardians, It is with great excitement that I am letting you know that Addison Elementary is officially Cobb STEM Certified! Today the STEM committee from the county came and walked our school to see all our students in their classrooms, and in Art, PE and Music and the Learning Commons participating in STEM activities that integrated Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. The committee was amazed by our students and their ability to demonstrate the 4 C’s of collaboration, communication, critical thinking and creativity. Students were engaged, working together and learning so much from the challenges that were put before them. We are so proud of all the hard work and determination demonstrated by our students and our staff. This has been a three-year journey and it is exciting to say we are a Cobb STEM Certified School. Parents are finding it easy to use, and a fun way to monitor their kid's progress. We want to make sure that everyone who wants to register for the program gets registered.
